About the role

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to project manage end-to-end repeatable, transparent, and complex planning pipelines
  • Optimize Google’s Production Network for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Ingest, analyze, understand, and rationalize demand forecasts for all EMEA related flows
  • Translate demand forecasts into regional capacity plans over time, taking into account market trends and technology changes
  • Own and deliver in-depth technical risk assessments based on various what-if analysis
  • Collaborate across internal teams, including business owners, cross-functional technical teams, negotiators, and designers, and network deployment teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with network infrastructure acquisition (i.e. dark fiber, transport systems, or data centers)
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Understanding of EMEA and global carrier networks
  • Ability to exercise business and technical understanding to drive the long-term objectives of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and financial skills, with the ability to adopt a data-driven, investigative approach towards solving complex issues
  • Proficient in navigating ambiguity and identifying opportunities for optimization while possessing investigative and problem-solving skills
